April is a National Donate Life Month in Logistics Blog

Today 119,000 men, women and children are awaiting organ transplants in the United States alone. Every 10 minutes another person is added to the waiting list; 22 people die each day waiting for an organ.

Celebrated in April each year, National Donate Life Month features an entire month of local, regional and national activities to help encourage Americans to register as organ, eye and tissue donors and to celebrate those that have saved lives through the gift of donation.

The artwork for 2017 National Donate Month was inspired by the pinwheel, a symbol of of an instrument that turns obstacles into opportunities. "The pinwheel reminds us that we all have the potential to capture and pass on life, comfort and hope to others by registering as a donor."

Transporting over 80,000 transplant organs and human tissue each year, Quick is a proud supporter of the life science community.

To raise awareness about the National Donate Life Month, we will share interesting facts about organ transportation and logistics throughout the month of April through blogs on our website and social media.
